Why Croft?
- Croft Computer Systems specialises in golf club administration, and Croft Accounting System is the only system that deals specifically with golf clubs and partial exemption.
- Accounts are accurate. The unrecovered vat is allocated back to its source transaction immediately, ie. not at the end of the year.
- Nominal accounts are coded in relation to their type of vat, eg. taxable input, exempt output, non-attributable input, so that the posting procedure is far less error prone.
- The quarterly vat return is printed at the click of a mouse; there no calculations to be done. HMRC (nee Customs & Excise) designed the vat reports, checked, and approved the calculations.
- The annual adjustment and claimable percentage are also calculated without any manual intervention. The annual adjustment is automatically included in the first quarterly vat return of the new vat year.
- In addition to the standard method of partial exemption, Croft deals with all known special methods, the vat year not aligning to the financial year, annual accounting as distinct from quarterly accounting, and so on.
- It prepares and provides management reports in a form suitable for golf club management - adjustable to virtually whatever form and style you prefer.
- Management information can be produced in PDF format or transferred into Excel - from where it can be attached to an email and distributed to committee members.
- It is designed to be simple in operation. You don't have to be an I.T. expert to operate it.
Installation and Training.
- Includes the design of your management reports and account coding in conjunction with yourselves - and we take on all the hassle of doing it for you.
- Training is of no fixed timescale. It always includes a first day to cover day-to-day postings, and a second day (at month end) to cover month-end procedures such as bank reconciliation and report production, and then whatever other training is necessary until you are comfortable with the system operation.
