CROFT HANDICAPPING
Croft Handicapping system is fully registered and approved
Croft Handicapping conforms 100% with the requirements of the CONGU Unified Handicapping system, and is registered with and approved by CONGU.
Handicapping also conforms 100% with the requirements of the Golf Union of Ireland Central Database of Handicapping, and is registered and approved by the GUI.
Fully integrated with Croft Membership and Open Solutions GPoS Till & Bar Card
Handicapping is a fully integrated module of the Croft Golf Management System. It integrates with Membership so that there is only one database of members to be maintained.
It also integrates with Open Solutions GPoS Bar Card and Till system, so that a member can charge the competition entry fee and 'Twos' to his bar card (if you allow that option, of course).
Competition Control
The system allows for Men's, Ladies, and Mixed competitions, 18 hole or 9 hole.
A player may enter the competition remotely (eg. in the pro's shop) prior to playing, at the same screen as he will eventually enter his score, or not at all (ie. only scores returned are considered to have entered the competition).
Scores can be entered either on a touch screen or by using a mini-keyboard especially designed for the purpose or on a full keyboard.
Players can identify themselves using a swipecard, by their name, or by their membership number.
If players enter the competition prior to play, then the competition update program will check and report if any player has failed to return a card.
Competition results can be provided nett, gross, 18 holes, first 9 holes, and second 9 holes.
The results sheet shows card play-off results, CSS (men, ladies, members, visitors), and handicap changes. Competition results can be provided in Excel or PDF format for uplift to the club web-site.
A leaderboard or noticeboard can (optionally) be displayed between scores being entered.
Multi-round Competitions
The system allows for competitions involving any number of rounds, for example:
- 36, 54, 72 hole medal / stableford / par
- The sum of a players best x rounds from any number of competitions
- Total scores based on medal, stableford, par, nett differential, gross differential, points for position in competition, eclectic
